Why Act for Missouri
Opposes Amendment 3
Amendment 3 doesn't simply repeal the 2024 abortion amendment — it replaces it with new constitutional language that permits abortion in specific circumstances. Our opposition rests on twelve principles: consistency, equal protection, and the belief that a better path is possible for Missouri.
We've built a dedicated site with our full analysis, plus a one-page breakdown of all twelve reasons for our position.
Amendment 6: Harder to Fix Bad Policy
Would require 80% approval in both legislative chambers before lawmakers could send changes to citizen-approved measures back to voters. Just seven senators could block a fix from ever reaching the ballot.
Read Our Analysis →Amendment 7: Public Money Locked Away
Creates a permanent, constitutionally locked investment fund. Tax relief depends on future financial conditions and could take decades to materialize — with no competitive-bidding requirement for the firms managing it.
Read Our Analysis →Amendment 8: Sheriffs & State Control
Would constitutionalize sheriff elections and duties, making the Attorney General the sole gatekeeper for removing a covered sheriff. St. Louis City, St. Louis County, and St. Charles County are exempted. Our full analysis is coming soon.

Why This Election Matters
This is the last stop — the choices Missourians make on November 3 are final.
Missouri's November 3, 2026 general election carries four constitutional amendments to the ballot — Amendments 3, 6, 7, and 8 — touching abortion law, the citizen initiative process, a new public investment fund, and how sheriffs are elected and removed. These decisions become permanent parts of Missouri's Constitution the moment voters approve them.
Many legislative districts were effectively decided back in August, when the primary determined each party's nominee. But dozens of Missouri House and Senate seats remain genuinely contested this fall, and every one of them will help decide the balance of power in Jefferson City for the next two years.
Act for Missouri's commitment is the same on every race and every measure: tell you the facts, present both sides honestly, share where we stand and why, and respect your judgment. We don't tell you how to vote. We help you make sure your vote reflects what you actually believe — and that you have the information to defend it.
